The strap width in respect to it's use on our website, always refers to the width of the strap at the end that connects to the watch, the spring bar or LUG end of a watch. We reference this end, as this is critical in selecting the correct width strap for your watch.

The width of the strap you select, should always match up with the distance between the LUG's on your watch case (refer image below). You can usually locate the width of your watch LUG's on the manufacturer's or retailer's website from where you purchased your watch. Alternatively, (and probably quicker) simply measure the distance with a ruler (again refer image below).

Harris Tweed® is handwoven only by the islanders of the Outer Hebrides of Scotland at their homes. Harris Tweed® is an artisanal luxury cloth that will complement your watch in the most unique way.

Our Harris Tweed® watch bands feature quick release spring bars for easy strap changes, are hand-stitched and are complemented by a soft breathable cowhide lining stamped with The Sydney Strap Co branding.

Something different - Tweed

I have had a tweed strap in the past so was familiar with the style. This new strap is very well made, very comfortable and adds a distinctive look. i currently have it on a vintage Rolex GMT and it is a nice change from the bracelet.

Ok, I’m a tweed fan so when I saw the Harris Tweed straps, I could not resist and bought the blue and brown ones. When they arrived, I was super pleased by the quality and how it good it looks when worn. The leather backing on the strap is very comfortable and the tweed is definitely a conversation starter.
