I like it a lot
Its a really nice leather strap and I enjoy it a lot.
Looks great, awkward size
The strap looks great, however when I wear it the tail just barely pokes out but is too short to easily fold back over itself. May not be the best for a small male wrist.
Finally a leather NATO for larger wrists
I have searched the world far and wide for leather nato's for my watches. They always end up too short or not the expected colour or quality. Put these fears out of your mind when you order one of these. They have LUX in their name and after wearing it for a while I can see why. The leather is soft and supple but still sturdy enough for any of the physical rigors you may want to through it's way. I've worn my lux dark brown leather nato strap on my Omega Seamaster 300m GMT (2534.50.00) as my daily driver watch and the combination of a dark brown soft leather with the faded and world weary Seamaster is a match made in heaven. I have a collection of around 100 straps and bracelets that I used to cycle through a lot of trying to settle on my forever strap. Thankfully this otherwise never ending quest can now be handed in and the XP applied to my life account. Thank you Sydney Straps Co. Thank you for delivering what even Omega could not. (the OEM leather nato is horrible next to this one).
Great nato strap
I like this leather nato strap, Really good quality, looks great and comfortable. I live in the NT but delivery was quick, I can’t say a bad word.
Not-Dark Brown
The quality of the strap itself is good. The leather has a decent grain and it looks good on the wrist. However the product photos show a far darker leather than the strap I received. I initially thought this was a mistake however when I contacted SSC to check they informed me that it was not, but rather that this batch is lighter and that some variation is normal given the dying process and natural variation in the leather. They offered me an exchange for store credit and said it also looks lighter in the pictures because I took the photo in the sunlight. The attached pictures are inside on a cloudy day, and this strap is still not "dark" brown by any definition. It's just brown. I understand that there is natural colour variation in leather, and that even dark dyes can stain with some variation but I'd argue that this natural variation is something that the seller is responsible for mitigating/accounting for. I'm not bothered with going through the trouble of an exchange and figured I'd just submit a review and not buy from them again instead. The strap itself isn't bad, it's just not a dark brown.
